Corrections Policy

We work to keep every piece of content on PrizeMining accurate and current. But mistakes happen, and the financial information we cover changes frequently. When we get something wrong, we want to fix it quickly and openly.

How to Report an Error

If you find something on our site that appears to be inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please let us know:

  • Email: corrections@prizemining.com
  • Include: The URL of the page, what you believe is incorrect, and (if possible) a source supporting the correct information.

We welcome reports from readers, providers, and anyone else who spots a problem. You do not need to be an expert to report an error — if something looks wrong, we want to hear about it.

Our Review Process

When we receive an error report, here is what happens:

  1. Acknowledgment. We confirm receipt of your report, typically within one business day.
  2. Investigation. Our editorial team reviews the claim against primary sources — IRS publications, provider websites, regulatory filings, or other authoritative references.
  3. Decision. We determine whether the content needs a correction, a clarification, or no change.
  4. Action. If a correction is warranted, we update the content and add a correction notice.

Correction Timeline

Our goal is to resolve corrections as follows:

  • Factual errors (wrong numbers, incorrect regulatory details, misattributed information): Corrected within 48 hours of confirmation.
  • Outdated information (fees that have changed, providers that have updated their minimums): Updated within one week of confirmation.
  • Clarifications (content that is technically accurate but could be misunderstood): Updated within one week.

If an error is significant enough to affect a reader's decision-making, we prioritize it and aim to correct it as quickly as possible.

Transparency About Changes

We handle different types of changes differently:

Corrections (Factual Errors)

When we correct a factual error, we add a correction notice at the top of the article that states what was wrong and what the correct information is. The notice includes the date of the correction. The original error is replaced with the correct information in the body of the article.

Updates (Changed Information)

When we update content because the underlying facts have changed (for example, a provider raised their minimum investment), we update the text and note "Last updated" at the top of the page. We do not add a correction notice for these, because the original content was accurate at the time it was written.

Minor Edits

Typo fixes, formatting changes, and small wording improvements that do not change the meaning of the content are made without a notice.
